JERRY GHIONIS SEMINAR - 23RD JUNE 2008

Wedding photography guru Jerry Ghionis made a whistle-stop visit to the UK to deliver a marathon ‘sell-out’ seminar to 120 professional portrait and wedding photographers, thanks to an exclusive seminar hosted by Spicer Hallfield.

Ghionis, who started from nothing 15 years ago in the backroom of a Melbourne chicken shop, told delegates at the ten hour-long workshop: “I am on a mission to help re-educate the middle market to spend more money on their wedding photography. When the flowers or cake is more expensive than the photographer, something surely has to change.”

NEW PRODUCTS LAUNCH

From Wednesday 23rd April 2008, Spicer Hallfield has added new product ranges to both its Classic and Eye brands.

Classic sees the addition of the Avanta Antique Leather albums and the Neutrals range of albums and accessories.

The new Avanta products are covered in high quality, textured antique leather, available in classic brown, refined dark green and sumpuous red. All options are available across the entire Avanta range or reportage, demi and gatefold formats, providing formidable choice for photographers and their clients.

Covered in beautiful artificial suede, the Neutrals range look and feel like the softest suede but with prices that give photographers every opportunity to maximise revenue potential. Neutrals products available are 10"x12" post bound albums, 10"x10" and 8"x8" portraiture albums in either 5 or 10 pages, single and double CD folios, self-adhesive pocket books and iPod nano books, all in a choice of 6 colours.

Eye adds the Lace and Retro Croc ranges to its catalogue.

In colours, materials, styling and size options befitting the wedding, portraiture and growing boudoir photography presentation markets, the Lace range has something that will inspire photographers and their clients, with products including post bound 8"x8" and 10"x10" albums, 10 page stick-on portraiture albums in 8"x8" and 10"x10" formats, and a single and double CD folio.

Inspired by today's desire for all things retro and the latest fashion trends, Retro Croc pays homage to the lasting style of man-made croc skin and the iconic colours used in the fashion industry. Available in 10"x10" and 8"x8" portraiture albums in either 5 or 10 page formats, single and double CD folios, self-adhesive pocket books and iPod nano books, available in orange, red, brown and beige.

All products are now available online in the Spicer Hallfield Store or through your local distributor.

SPICER HALLFIELD RACE FOR LIFE

Following the success of Spicer Hallfield’s participation in 2007’s Race for Life fun run, another team of Spicer Hallfield ladies will be tying the laces on their trainers again for the 2008 event at Waddesdon Manor, near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, on Sunday 11th May 2008.

The Race for Life scheme is held all across the UK in support of Cancer Research UK, with 280 venues all hosting a 5km fun run between May and July, with 2007 seeing 665,000 female runners helping to raise £40 million.

Fifteen ladies will make up ‘Team Spicer Hallfield’ for 2008’s Race for Life, which is now the biggest women-only fundraising event in the UK, with every pound raised in sponsorship going towards furthering Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work.

With the 2007 team raising over £400, this year’s team will be looking to go even better, and are kindly appealing for sponsorship donations to help them achieve this.

Any sponsorship donations can be pledged at www.justgiving.com/spicerhallfield with all monies raised going straight to Cancer Research UK.
