Q. What is EYE?
EYE is a Spicer Hallfield brand that is focused on the future. It uses knowledge acquired from fashion, design and other creative industries, coupled with the latest manufacturing and communication technology, to create products with wow! It is also more than simply a market leading innovative product brand, it is also a dialogue and community based brand for the photographers and the clients you create images for. It is a brand for you to input into, gain from and develop with. It personifies your creativity and the pace of change in our markets.
Q. What products are in EYE?
EYE is made up of new product ranges from Spicer Hallfield, Seldex, Digital Art Books, Positiv and Fierte. There are a number of sub brands such as EYE on Portraiture that are a mix of selected and designed products chosen to be offered into specific market categories. New products will be added and removed from the EYE and EYE on PORTRAITURE brands on a regular basis as fashions and designs change and develop.
Q. Who are Spicer Hallfield?
Spicer Hallfield are an established and respected UK based manufacturer of image presentation products catering specifically for the professional photographer. Spicer Hallfield sell their wide range of photograph albums, frames, mounts and folders through a network of distributors both in the UK and worldwide as well as having an on-line ordering and purchasing facility.
We have two UK manufacturing sites, located in Buckinghamshire and West Yorkshire.
Q. Where can I buy EYE?
EYE products can be bought in the same way Glorious Books have been, they will also be available online although fully electronic on-line ordering will not be available until early summer. The online store is split into EYE on Seldex, EYE on Positiv etc.
Q. What has happened to the old Glorious Books products?
All products previously sold under the Glorious Books name are now available under EYE

Q. Are you increasing prices this year?
To coincide with our new CLASSIC and EYE brand and product launches at FOCUS on IMAGING 2008, Spicer Hallfield are pleased to announce that we are reducing prices of Digital Art Books, part of our EYE brand, by a massive 30%* from 1st March 2008.
We will be holding prices on all other Spicer Hallfield products until the release of our new catalogues on 1st June 2008. From that date we will increase prices across all products by 4% only. All new prices will be clearly noted in the catalogue.
Exceptions to this are to our POSITIV range where prices increase by 5% from 1st March 2008 and our SELDEX range where prices increase by 4% also from 1st March 2008.
There will be no further changes in pricing until March 2009.
Q. Are sample albums available?
Yes samples can be purchased at a discount on the trade price , these discounts vary depending on the particular product so please call customer services on 0800 018 0804 to discuss your requirements.

Q. What is the difference between a Post Bound and Book Bound album?
The two terms, post bound and book bound, relate to how the leaves fit into the album cover. For a book bound album we will fit a set number of leaves into a block and finish this with a cover. Overlays are then mounted onto the leaves. Our Post Bound albums are designed to allow individual leaves to be added into the cover, which gives great flexibility as to how many prints are shown in any album as the number of leaves can easily be adjusted.
